Staff Profile #19 - Vlera
After 3 months of remarkable investment at PLAY International, it is time to turn the spotlight on our amazing programme coordinator Vlera Hajdini!
Full of hope and passionate about physics as well as philosophy and literature, this 22 year old woman assists in overall project management by being always helpful and at 1000% in everything she does! She sometimes finishes some administrative tasks with smoke coming out of her ears because she was so focused and concentrated.
Completing the programme team with Ebru,
they ensure the smooth implementation of PLAY International’s project
activities. Like her personality, her position is versatile: she coordinates
logistics and contacts participants to prepare activities but she is also the
child protection focal point in our organization and maintains communications on
social media with unrivaled attention!
When we asked her what she
likes about PLAY, she answered:
“I
believe that it is very important to be a conscious and responsible individual
for your community. An ongoing concern I have is for Kosovo’s education system. Our country is still struggling to create a reliable system
of education. Since I first encountered PLAY, I found an attraction to its
mission because it dealt with education welfare, but also a curiosity about its
experimental approach towards using sports as a tool for inclusion. Now as it
has been more than 3 months since I am here, I am still impressed by our
activities, and the impact to the people they reach. I say this because I had the
chance to write the testimonials of some of our volunteers and I was mesmerized
to hear about their experiences with children when they implement PLAY’s
methodologies.”
Last but not least, here comes the fun fact to go!
"Ferizaj is the best city in the world! Then, Berlin comes after!". If one day you hear this, check around you because Vlera is surely around! She is really attached to her lovely childhood city and manages to make you feel the good vibes of this city through a beautiful historical tour to the bridge over the almost unique river bifurcation in Europe!
