New Head of Mission

 Staff profile #32

Introducing our new Head of Mission: Vlorian, originating from the lively small town of Decan in Kosovo! Armed with a Master's Degree in Public Health Science and Health Economics from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, Vlorian's journey has been nothing short of an adventure. From working with sickness benefits at Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) in Gothenburg, contributing to the Swedish National Institute for Institutional Care (Statens Institutionsstyrelse), and serving as the Executive Director at Action for Mothers and Children in Kosovo for 5 years, Vlorian's professional journey has been rich with diverse experiences and impactful contributions.

When he's not working, you can catch him immersing himself in cinematic worlds, orchestrating epic game nights with friends, or perfecting his table tennis skills!

Despite being the fresh face at PLAY International in Kosovo, Vlorian feels right at home thanks to the warm welcome from his colleagues across the globe. While still navigating the PLAY landscape, what truly excites Vlorian about PLAY is its mission—using sports to tackle social issues among children and youth. The dedication to making a real difference in the community ignites a fire in Vlorian's soul!

When asked what excites him the most about joining our team at this moment in the organization's journey, he answers:

I'm very happy about the opportunity to contribute to PLAY's mission in Kosovo. The potential for growth and the impact we can have on the lives of children and youth in Kosovo and the region is massive. I look forward to bringing my background and my passion for societal improvement to further enhance the initiatives and outreach of PLAY..

.. and the excitement is contagious! We are already thrilled to welcome Vlorian as our Head of Mission and we're equally delighted to collaborate with him.
