STAFF Profile #20 - Luljeta

The EDI Plus Project has its new Coordinator!  It is time to know more about Luljeta Aliu!


Smiling and cheerful, Luljeta has an economic background and is more than determined to carry out the EDI Plus  project! 

Her missions range from project management to communication, including advocacy, cooperation and networking with key stakeholders and partner organisations of the project: The Ideas Partnership and PLAY International. 

When we asked her what she likes about EDI Plus, she answered:

"Everything is about equilibrium!"

According to her, EDI Plus coordination is always between theory and practice, saving and spending while the project itself is about the balance between the two organizations. It also focuses on gender balance and social equity and inclusion. She also really likes working with people of different ages, from different backgrounds and different international organizations.  



About the future of the project: 

"The aim after one year, which is pretty much the end of the project, is the sustainability of the Learning Centers."

She wants the activities to continue and for that, she is committed in following, monitoring and evaluating them to ensure this goal!

Last but not least, here comes the fun fact to go! 

She is Libra so all what you have read until now makes more sense! Indeed, it is important for her to have an equilibrium between professional and personal life and her choices are the result of balance and fairness.

  Staff profile #33                                               Introducing our new Project Coordinator, Bleta! Born and raised in Prishtina, Kosovo. Bleta completed her bachelors degree in Speech and Language Pathology at “Kolegji Heimerer” in her hometown. During the last year of her studies, she undertook an internship in a private clinic, where after 6 months she became a full time Speech Therapist for the following  four years. During that time Bleta also started worked with a non-governmental organization in a public school project that had the goal to include more logopedic and psychological sessions in schools.      When she’s not working, she likes to cook, but she doesn’t like to take care of the clean up  after cooking.   Staff profile #34                 Today, we're excited to introduce you to Lorik Zhubi, our newest Programme Manager! Lorik comes from Kosovo’s northern town of Mitrovica, however he spent most of his life in the United States where he completed his bachelor studies in biology and history. After his studies, Lorik returned to Kosovo to work on child and maternal health in civil society. Thereafter, he completed his master studies in global health policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), during which he observed the theories he was learning in the classroom play out in real time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
