Staff profile #23 Lise& Carmen



NEW YEAR, NEW PLAYER! 

It is time to present our two French girls; Lise and Carmen which have decided to do their Civic Service in PLAY International Kosovo. 

The perfect place to turn some months of their life into an unforgettable story!



Lise Bouchet is from Lyon and she will be working for PLAY as a Pedagogical Assistant until the end of March.  Even though she studied Literature for three years and Communication for another two years, her interest to work for PLAY is the way this NGO tackles social issues with sport activities, which Lise finds fascinating. 

Her love for Sport started on her teenage years, when she would play basketball and found out that sport is a great way to better connect with other people. Now Lise enjoys a variety of sports such as hiking and skiing.

When asked why she chose PLAY’s mission in Kosovo she stated:

"I was really interested to discover the needs of Kosovo in terms of education and sport."


Carmen Flores who comes from a small city on the South of France studied International law for five years in Toulouse, Barcelona and Paris and then specialized in international cooperation.

Unlike Lise, she didn't play sports when younger and neither does now, but she is a talented piano player!

When asked why did she choose a sport NGO despite not playing sports she said it was because she is interested to experience how sport can be a solution to get through social challenges.

“What I like the most about PLAY is that it tries to find new solutions all the time and to develop and improve its kits to be adapted as much as it can with the beneficiaries needs.”

She applied to the job offer in PLAY International Kosovo because the mission of PLAY interested her a lot.

“However, it has been 4 months that I'm in Kosovo and I really like the country for its people and its way of life that is not as stressful as in Paris. People here are super friendly and my coworkers too!”

As much fun as these two girls are, it's time for their fun fact: 

The fun fact about Lise is that she never played Rugby before arriving to Kosovo and was surprised to find out there is a Rugby club in Prishtina and immediately joined! While the fun fact that Carmen holds is that she had theater classes when younger and we can't wait for her to show us her hidden theatrical talent.

  Staff profile #33                                               Introducing our new Project Coordinator, Bleta! Born and raised in Prishtina, Kosovo. Bleta completed her bachelors degree in Speech and Language Pathology at “Kolegji Heimerer” in her hometown. During the last year of her studies, she undertook an internship in a private clinic, where after 6 months she became a full time Speech Therapist for the following  four years. During that time Bleta also started worked with a non-governmental organization in a public school project that had the goal to include more logopedic and psychological sessions in schools.      When she’s not working, she likes to cook, but she doesn’t like to take care of the clean up  after cooking.
