Introducing our new Project Coordinator, Bleta!
Born and raised in Prishtina, Kosovo. Bleta
completed her bachelors degree in Speech and Language Pathology at “Kolegji
Heimerer” in her hometown. During the last year of her studies, she undertook an internship in a private clinic, where after
6 months she became a full time Speech Therapist for the following four years. During that time Bleta also
started worked with a non-governmental organization in a public school project that had the goal
to include more logopedic and psychological sessions in schools.
When she’s
not working, she likes to cook, but she doesn’t like to take care of the clean
up after cooking. She also likes
exploring new places to travel and reading during her free time.
When we asked her what she likes about
working here in PLAY, she answers: "What I love the most about PLAY is
the uplifting energy and the positive values we share every day as a team. This
is my first time tackling projects of this scale, and it's been a bit of a
rollercoaster. Thankfully, with the team's amazing support, I've managed to
turn challenges into triumphs."
Even though
Bleta has been living in Kosovo all her life, we asked what she loves about
Kosovo and its culture, which she explained goes: "As someone who’s
grown up in Kosovo, I can’t help but be fascinated by our vibrant cultural
scene. The blend of traditional Balkan heritage with modern influences gives
our cities, like Prishtina, a unique and lively atmosphere. From historic sites
to bustling cafes and artistic expressions, there’s always something happening.
And of course, the natural beauty of our landscapes—from the Rugova Mountains
to the lush valleys—is simply stunning. What I appreciate most is the freedom
to enjoy drinks with family, friends, and colleagues at any hour—it’s a
wonderful way to experience the best of both worlds!.
And of
course she can't run from the "Tell me a fun fact about you"
question, which without hesitation she said: “I am not sure if it is a fun fact
but when I was a kid I would usually get lost at the beach”.
But NO worries Bleta, all of us did at some point.
